This week hasn’t been so great fitness wise. But, that’s simply because I’ve had a crazy busy week, not because I’ve been lazy!
I’ve still been walking to the train station each day so I’ve had my daily 30 minutes of cardio but that’s basically all I’ve done so far. Next week I’m determined to be better!
I’m looking into getting some new trainers because while I was running on the treadmill when I went to the gym last week, my shins started to really hurt and I’ve read that that can mean my trainers aren’t supportive enough. Katie has given me a great recommendation, so I’m looking into a few options. I’m wondering if that’s why I’ve been struggling to get back into running, I’m finding it a lot harder and a lot more painful than it used to be!
I had a great weight session last week at the gym and I was hoping to repeat that this week if I hadn’t been so busy, so I’m definitely going to make sure I get back into the gym this week a couple of times!
A bit of a confession… I actually can’t swim. Why am I bringing this up? Well, because growing up I was always allergic to chlorine, so swimming was too painful because I’d end up in a huge rash. But I haven’t entered a swimming pool for years, so recently when Dan and I stayed in a hotel, I tried their swimming pool and I didn’t get a rash!! Now I keep thinking about how great swimming would be to get some exercise, but the problem is I can’t swim. My gym has a swimming pool and they do have adult swimming lessons but I’m not sure if that would be weird to do so… Would it be weird?!
So, fingers crossed that this week I can get back into the gym, do a good run and kickstart my weight loss again!
