Okay, this is getting ridiculous. The end of July already?! It’s barely just started, right? I’m not okay with how quickly the years seem to go at the moment.
*whispers* 16 more Fridays til Christmas according to Facebook. This is not a drill.
I’ve had a pretty good month overall though. It started off with Dan and I having some much needed time off together, having fun days out and just enjoying having some time together.
Work has been good too, although super hectic. It’s weird being busy all the time after always being so quiet in my last job!
I’m still struggling to get the whole work/life/blog balance right too. It was so easy in my last job because I would blog while I was at work, but that just isn’t an option at my new job, unless I took my laptop to work and did it in my lunch break!
So you might notice that some weeks, I only have 1-2 posts up, then other weeks (like this week), I have 4-5. It’s a balance I’m still struggling to get right and I hope that you’ll bear with me.
Plus, I’m also trying to fit fitness into this whole crazy schedule too, and it’s all just a bit too much- I’m afraid I just don’t have enough hours in the day! But I’m still here and I still love blogging, I’m just a bit quieter than I used to be.
So shall we get on with my highlights of this month?!
- Visiting Oxford with Dan- you can see my post on that here, we had the best time and it was so nice just to get away from Basingstoke even if it was only for a night!
- Visiting Chessington – you’ll be able to read about that soon, including about how I fed giraffes!!
- Celebrating 3 years with Dan – which has gone SO fast but at the same time it feels like forever (in a good way). I can’t believe he’s still putting up with me!
- Getting out of the house more with Pokemon GO- I can’t believe I’m putting this on here but actually it’s been really fun! It’s nice to have something that pushes you to go out and about more. Last weekend, Dan and I did 16,000 steps in a few hours just trying to find Pokemon. Yes it’s just a game and we don’t take it seriously but how can anyone say that it’s not making kids more active?!
This month has been a busy one yet I haven’t really *done* much. Next month I have a wedding to go to and it should be a bit quieter at work with people going on holiday- so I might be less tired when I get home to do some blogging!
How has your July been and what are your August plans?!
