Yep, Cakey Dreamer is back!
After a few months of being on and off with my blog (mainly off), I finally feel ready to come back and be more involved in the blogging world again. I think I’ve said this before and tried to come back a few times, but this time I genuinely feel like I’m ready to be part of this world again (lol, Disney reference).
As I mentioned in my last post, I will be dropping the amount of posts I do per week to 3 instead of 5. I just think it will mean I can put more time and effort into the posts I do around my full-time job. I love Cakey Dreamer and I love writing posts you guys can enjoy, but it needs to work around my job and my personal life too. Because otherwise, what’s the point?!
During my time away, I’ve managed to think a lot about what I want to get out of this blog. I’m not thinking about taking my blog full-time and as much as I’ve enjoyed working with brands and hope brands still want to work with me, it’s not the be all and end all for me. So I’m going to be a bit “free-er” with the type of posts I do. I’m not going to box myself in, if I want to write a random post about looking after my hair even though I never do beauty posts, then I will. If I want to write some craft-type posts, I will. No more trying to fit into a niche – this is my space to do whatever I like in.
I am struggling to write as many baking posts, purely because I can’t eat the cakes I make anymore! So you might see more “FODMAP-friendly” recipes, although I will still be making normal bakes too – they’ll just have to get eaten by my work colleagues!
Anyway, I will stop rambling on now – Thank you for waiting for me and I hope you will continue to read Cakey Dreamer and enjoy my rambling!
