I try really hard to love the gym, I do. I hype myself up for it, I lovingly prepare a gym bag so that I want to use it, and once I’m there I actually do really enjoy myself.
But then sometimes, I really, really don’t want to go to the gym. I just want to stay home where I can exercise without judgement, where it’s warm and safe and welcoming. The trouble is, I give up quite easily at home.
So I’ve always tried to incorporate Youtube into my workouts. Whether that’s watching vlogs during my run on the treadmill or whether that’s finding fab workouts to do at home.
I thought I would share with you some of my favourite workouts that I do when I really can’t be bothered to go to the gym but want to make sure I have a good workout. My favourite workouts? Ones that are FUN. Ones that seem to go quickly, rather than clock watching throughout. Ones that the instructor is friendly not patronising. Ones that leave me feeling like I’ve had just as good a workout as when I’ve been to the gym. So, here are some of my favourites:
This is probably my favourite workout, and not just because of her adorable dog! So many workouts that are 30 minutes or longer I spend clock watching, or I think it’s nearly over only to find that it’s only been 5 minutes! But with this workout, I was already halfway through when I thought it had only been 5 minutes! It’s super fun and I love that you can feel graceful as you dance/workout! Definitely recommend for anyone who like me, wished they did ballet as a child.
Sometimes, I don’t have 30-60 minutes to workout, but I want to make sure I’ve done *something* exercise-related. That’s when I use this workout. It’s 10 minutes but boy do you feel it the next day! I also feel a bit like Beyonce when I do it which is always fabulous. Tiffany is really good at keeping you pumped up and I’ve always found this workout to be super fun!
I love to do this workout when I have a bit more time and want to really work my body. I think I do this workout the least, but when I do do it, I feel great afterwards although knackered! The great thing about the Gymra videos is that they actually play quite relaxing music going through it, so you don’t feel overwhelmed by what you’re doing and you end up concentrating fully on the different exercises!
Well, those are my three favourite workout videos. I hope if you try them, you also find them helpful! If you have any
